A healthy diet should consist of fats and moderate amount of proteins. A diabetic diet should have high quantities of fat. Sugar stimulates hunger and you carve for more food. 40 % of all heart diseases are related to excess sugar. Keeping your blood sugar levels in control is a primary objective for a healthy body.

The current recommendations for carbohydrates based on the American Diabetes Associations is 45-60 grams of carbohydrates PER MEAL!!!!! not per day, per meal.

    Stupid video...saturated fats are best for diabetics...avoid grains completely...reduce carb imtake..avoid sugar...take lot of healthy fats and medium amounts of proteins...u dont need diabetic medicines at all..

  16. I`m Sixty four years old and I learned I`ve got diabetic issues 10 months ago. I can`t imagine that I`ve got diabetes and it worries me that I will also endure the same hardships like my dad did. Found this amazing information “amazing fivu com” (Google it). According to my initial test results, I`ve got 7.3 A1C and 183 for my glucose level. After a week of reading the plan, I have managed to lessen my A1C to 5.9.

    It seems strange that so many of these diabetes videos are done by people who can't even pronounce the words properly. If you can't say "diabetes," you shouldn't be talking about it. I've never heard such mispronunciations of common words, such as "raisins."

    Dr. Berg, I can't thank you enough for helping me find the solution to my weight problem and my type 2 diabetes.

    Two years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes when my sugar read 350+. Which wound up producing a 12.7 A1C.

    I was put on the maximum amount of Metformin and an after eating medication that I can't think of right now to get my sugar under control.

    I was also directed to go on a high fiber, high protein diet.

    I found it impossible to stick with the diet because I was hungry all the time.

    Since discovering your videos my life is changing for the better. I started going on KETO about 2 months ago and over the past two weeks I have gotten down to one meal per day.

    I'm down 32 pounds have much more energy, no longer ravenous and I haven't taken any diabetes medicine in close to six months and since going on KETO my morning sugar is consistently in the 70's to mid 80's.

    I'm 6 feet tall , I'm 52 years old and I drive a truck for a living.

    I started at 350, and am now down below 318 with a goal of eventually reaching 200 -220.

  26. I found out this is so very true. Don't know how in the world Dr. Mcdougall patients can claim they get well on his high carb diet. I tried it and stopped it the after the first day. Not to mention his belief system is so off, no wonder his take on diet is so wrong and so dangerous.
    You are also brave to speak against the allopathic take from The Diabetic Assoc. recommendations. There advice is "crap" for sure.

    I had high blood pressure and took medication to sustain it for 2 years, but I started this blood pressure plan that I discovered on recently"Diabetescureonline*com"(google it). Medical doctor notified me blood pressure level is returned to normal and I do not have to put money into prescription for high blood pressure level.

    Hey Dr Berg I started Keto dieting a week ago and I’m diabetic. The week before that I was doing vegetarian and noticed I was eating terribly. I’ve always eaten really bad and am overweight. I guess I am just wondering will me getting into ketosis take longer than a normal person?
